Registration of Computer Programs Free of Charge for SMEs in Egypt

CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Engineer Atef Helmi granted small and micro- sized enterprises (SMEs) owners the right to register software (computer programs) free of charge through the Information Technology Industry Development Agency.
According to the Cairo-based Al Ahram Arabic daily which published the news on May 22, 2013, the decision was made to enable small and micro enterprises which represent the majority of companies that play an important role in developing the local economy and generate job opportunities, overcome such a barrier.
