INTA’s 6th Annual Trademark Scholarship Symposium to Take Place Next May

CALIFORNIA – International Trademark Association (INTA)’s sixth annual Trademark Scholarship Symposium will take place on May 4, 2015 during the 137th Annual Meeting in San Diego, California, United States.

According to INTA, as part of Academic Day, the Symposium offers academics from around the world the chance to participate in small group discussions of scholarly works-in-progress in the field of a current trademark or unfair competition scholarship project.

In a workshop setting, each selected scholar will present his or her project, receive comments and have the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with other scholars and accomplished practitioners.

Important Dates:

November 15, 2014: On or before this date, interested academic scholars should send an abstract of no more than 300 words describing a current scholarship project in the field of trademark or unfair competition law. Abstracts should be sent to Julie Cromer Young at jcromer@tjsl.edu and Jim Faier at jmfaier@faier.com
February 1, 2015: A maximum of 8 projects will be selected by the project team  for presentation and will be announced
March 15, 2015: For each selected project, a working draft of the paper to be presented must be submitted.
May 4, 2015: INTA Trademark Scholarship Symposium and Academic Day during the 137th INTA Annual Meeting in San Diego, California, United States

Successful candidates will receive complimentary registration to the Academic Day program during the 137th Annual Meeting. This registration provides access to the all-professor panel, a professor luncheon, and a networking reception for academics and young practitioners.
