Qatar to Accede to Budapest Treaty

GENEVA - The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) notified the Minister for Foreign Affairs the deposit by the Government of the State of Qatar, on December 6, 2013, of its instrument of accession to the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done in Budapest on April 28, 1977, and amended on September 26, 1980.
The said Treaty will enter into force, with respect to the State of Qatar, on March 6, 2014.
