AGIP & CentralNic Signed a Memorandum of Understanding

AMMAN - A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on March 3, 2014 between CentralNic Ltd and Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP).

According to a press release by AGIP, the Memorandum aims at enhancing cooperation in business opportunities related to providing assistance for country-code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs) registries.

Mr. Mahmoud Lattouf, executive director of TAG-Domains, and Mr. Benjamin Crawford, chief executive officer of CentralNic signed the Memorandum.

This cooperation will lead to establishing a joint team for identifying and considering joint undertaking future business opportunities falling within the field of ccTLDs.

Mr. Lattouf said that the MoU is a reflection of the fruitful cooperation in providing strategic consultancy for new ccTLDs.

“This is an important MoU which we signed keeping in mind local registries and the wider regional Internet community. We aim at assisting regional ccTLD registries automating their processes by adopting the latest technologies and business models,” he added.
