GENEVA - As from September 9, 2018, the amounts of the individual fee payable in respect of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) will change, according to the World Intellectual Property Organization.  Those amounts will be:  

• 704 Swiss francs for three classes of goods or services and 144 Swiss francs for each additional class, when designating OAPI in an international application or subsequently; 

• 880 Swiss francs for one class of goods or services and 176 Swiss francs for each additional class, when renewing an international registration in which OAPI has been designated.  Where the payment is received within the period of grace, an additional amount of 229 Swiss francs will be payable, independent of the number of classes.
