US Chamber Statement on Appointment of Karyn Temple as Register of Copyrights

WASHINGTON, DC - US Chamber of Commerce’s Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC) President and CEO David Hirschmann issued the following statement regarding the appointment of Karyn Temple as the Register of Copyrights according to the official website of US Chamber of Commerce.

“The US Chamber congratulates Karyn Temple on her appointment as Register of Copyrights by Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden. The Register, and the Copyright Office she leads, is essential to advancing the rights of American creators.  As Acting Register, Ms. Temple has garnered broad support from both Congress and a diverse group of stakeholder groups. We applaud Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden for this appointment, and the members of Congress who supported Ms. Temple for this important position. We look forward to continuing to work with her to champion American creativity.”
