NEW YORK - The International Trademark Association (INTA) announced that Wanhuida Intellectual Property, Beijing, China, has signed on as the Association’s first-ever Strategic Sponsor. The strategic sponsorship focuses on enforcement and anticounterfeiting, key issues for both organizations as they look to protect intellectual property (IP) and combat the proliferation of counterfeit goods worldwide, a press release by INTA stated.

As INTA’s Enforcement and Anticounterfeiting Strategic Sponsor, Wanhuida IP will collaborate with the Association to help address this critical topic, including raising awareness, sharing thought leadership, and educating the IP community and the public.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Wanhuida Intellectual Property as a Strategic Sponsor, marking a milestone in the advancement of the Association,” said INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “Wanhuida IP has always been a strong, engaged member of INTA. This major step, in becoming a Strategic Sponsor, further demonstrates the firm’s commitment to enforcement and anticounterfeiting and further solidifies its support of the Association and the IP community at large.”

Wanhuida IP Founding Partner and Management Committee Chair Bai Gang noted: “It’s a privilege to be the first Strategic Sponsor of INTA. INTA offers unparalleled education and advocacy opportunities and extensive outreach programs. Enforcement and anticounterfeiting has been a traditional strength of Wanhuida. By collaborating with INTA, we will be able to reach a global audience and share our expertise and best practices with a broader community.”

Wanhuida is a leading IP service provider, with 450 employees working exclusively in the field of IP. It has 10 offices covering all major IP hubs in China and serves clients worldwide across a broad spectrum of industries.

In recognition of the law firm’s strategic and financial support, INTA will identify Wanhuida IP as its Enforcement and Anticounterfeiting Strategic Sponsor at various events and publications related to the topic.

Among upcoming activities on this issue, INTA’s 2021 Annual Meeting Virtual+, taking place from November 15 to 19, is dedicating an entire day’s track of programming to Enforcement and Anticounterfeiting; and the Association’s Brand & New podcast will feature a three-part series on timely and critical issues related to this subject, beginning September 28.

INTA’s new Strategic Sponsorship is an exclusive opportunity being offered for specific topic areas to a select group of organizations whose industry vision and business strategy align with the Association’s priorities in its Strategic Plan. Strategic Sponsors will enjoy unparalleled opportunities to engage with the global INTA community throughout the year.
