Abu-Ghazaleh and Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Jordan Discuss Means of Economic Cooperation Development

AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), received in his office HE Ms. Shanika Dissanayake, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Jordan to discuss means of cooperation between the two parties with the aim of serving and developing both countries’ economies.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed channels of strengthening the progress of bilateral cooperation in a mechanism that serves Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech); a member of TAG.Global that designs and manufactures technological devices including laptops, tablets and smartphones, considering that Sri Lanka has a large market and economy, to avail expertise and supplies in Sri Lanka. 

The two parties also discussed opportunities for joint cooperation through a TAGTech factory to manufacture and produce TAGTech devices in collaboration with Sri Lankan tech corporations. 

Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that TAG.Global inaugurated its office in Sri Lanka in 2017 with the aim of providing the Sri Lankan market with different professional services including Intellectual Property Rights protection, accounting, building-capacities, and consulting services, as well as developing educational systems and methods. He noted that TAG.Global office in Sri Lanka is managed by a number of Sri Lankan experts in the field of accounting, considering that Sri Lanka is one of the developed countries that is widely recognized for its qualified accountants and quality experts.

On the other hand, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed the importance of cooperation in manufacturing TAGTech devices that are characterized by their high specifications especially with the assistance of Sri Lankan experts and manufacturing supplies. 

For her part, Ambassador Dissanayake, expressed: ‘The government of Sri Lanka’s keenness to develop its economic and cultural relations with Jordan through collaboration with TAG.Global in terms of exchanging expertise in various educational, professional and economic areas.”
