AMMAN – Under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, the Eighth Medical Tourism Conference will be launched in Jordan in December 2024; organized by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) and the Pioneers Road Company.
The Royal directives underlined the necessity for governments to focus on elevating Jordan's regional role and standing in medical and healthcare tourism, and fostering cooperation between the public and private sectors to improve healthcare services for both citizens and tourists, which will positively affect Jordan’s reputation as a leading regional hub for medical and healthcare tourism.
The Conference will include several discussion and dialogue sessions, with the participation of elite Jordanian and international speakers to discuss aspects of investment in the Jordanian healthcare sector.
Moreover, the Conference aims to provide the relevant stakeholders in the Jordanian healthcare sector with the latest updates related to their sector. It will also showcase Jordan’s advanced and distinguished level of services offered on a regional and global scale.
HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.Global founder and chairman, stated that the medical and healthcare sector in Jordan has a promising future, pointing out that the upcoming Conference will highlight the opportunities and challenges within this significant sector. He went on to reiterate the sector’s vital role in bolstering the Jordanian economy, in addition to its contribution to Jordan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

These attributes have significantly contributed to Jordan’s international recognition.
For his part, Pioneers Road CEO, Mr. Ayman Arikat, said that the Conference would bring together all relevant stakeholders and pave the way for signing agreements and memorandums of understanding among concerned parties.
He further added that the two-day gathering will be held in the presence of a host of decision-makers, those in charge of dispatching patients for treatment abroad, and a host of representatives of Arab and international medical-related insurance companies, in addition to ambassadors and healthcare attachés in Jordan.
