LOS ANGELES – The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is publishing a draft document for input on the Public Technical Identifier's (PTI) 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. This document is entitled "IANA 2030," and ICANN seeks community review and input prior to finalization and adoption by the PTI Board of Directors. The plan defines PTI's strategy in delivering the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions and represents a subset of the ICANN org's strategy. The PTI Board has developed this draft with IANA staff, customers, community stakeholders, and the broader ICANN org, according to the official website of ICANN.
As the coordinator of the Internet's unique identifiers and authoritative recordkeeper, IANA must meet community needs in a landscape of emerging Internet technologies and evolving Internet governance models. Using feedback gathered from ICANN81 in Istanbul, IANA was able to complete this draft document for public comment.
