Shaping the Future of DNS: Join the 2025 Middle East DNS Forum in Bahrain - ICANN

LOS ANGELES - The 2025 Middle East Domain Name System (DNS) Forum will take place from April 29–30, 2025, in Manama, Bahrain, hosted in collaboration with Bahrain's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). This hybrid event will bring together key stakeholders on-site and online to explore the latest developments in the DNS, Internet governance, and digital transformation across the region, according to the official website of ICANN.

The two-day program is designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among industry experts, policymakers, registries, registrars, and the wider Internet community. Highlights:

·  Regional and Global Perspectives – Representatives from TRA Bahrain, ICANN, industry players, and subject matter experts will set the stage for discussions on the evolving information and communications technology sector and the DNS ecosystem.

· DNS Security and Abuse Mitigation – Learn about ICANN's Contractual Compliance efforts and how organizations are tackling DNS Abuse and cyber threats.

· Expanding the Domain Name Space – Get insights into the New Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Program: Next Round, the Applicant Support Program, and experiences from established registries launching new domain extensions.

· IDNs and Arabic Domain Name Adoption – Explore the latest advancements in Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) and best practices for registering and hosting Arabic domain names and email addresses.
