LOS ANGELES - The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) announced the locations for ICANN85 and ICANN88 taking place in 2026 and 2027 respectively, a press release stated by ICANN. 

Mumbai, India has been selected as the location in the Asia Pacific region to host the ICANN85 Community Forum. ICANN85 will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre from March 7–12, 2026. It will be hosted by the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI).

Lisbon, Portugal has been selected as the location in the Europe region to host the ICANN88 Community Forum. ICANN88 will be held at the Lisbon Congress Center from March 13–18, 2027. It will be hosted by Associação DNS.PT. An ICANN Public Meeting was last held in Lisbon in March 2007 for ICANN28.

ICANN holds three Public Meetings each calendar year in different regions around the world. ICANN Public Meetings are an essential element of ICANN's multistakeholder model and provide a venue to progress policy work, conduct outreach, exchange best practices, conduct business, and interact with other members of the ICANN community, Board, and organization.

These meetings, typically comprised of more than 100 different sessions, are an important opportunity for individuals and representatives from ICANN's various stakeholder groups to discuss issues related to ICANN policy-development process. Participants may attend either in-person or remotely. Meetings are free to attend and open to everyone.

With the conclusion of ICANN82, the registration for ICANN83 Policy Forum in Prague, Czech Republic is now open.
