US Copyright Office Publishes Final Rule to Require Pay.gov Use for Statutory Royalty Payments

WASHINGTON - The US Copyright Office has published a final rule amending its regulations regarding the submission of royalty fees by cable, satellite, and digital audio recording devices or media (DART) operators to require that these fees be paid using Pay.gov, according to the official website of the Office. 

This amendment simplifies the royalty payment process as part of broader efforts to make Office services digitized, interconnected, searchable, and easier to navigate.
