MUNICH - The President of the European Patent Office (EPO) submitted written observations to the Enlarged Board of Appeal relating to G 2/24, “Skin cleanser”. The referral concerns the question whether, after withdrawal of all appeals, the proceedings may be continued with a third party who intervened during the appeal proceedings, a press release stated by EPO. 

The President concludes that a third party should have effective rights, including the right to continue the appeal proceedings independently.
