ICANN Board Adopts FY26–30 Operating Plan and FY26 Operating Plan and Budget

- In its meeting on May 3, 2025, the ICANN Board of Directors adopted the ICANN FY26–30 Operating and Financial Plan, the ICANN FY26 Operating Plan and Budget, and the IANA FY26 Operating Plan and Budget.
LOS ANGELES - The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) FY26–30 Operating and Financial Plan and FY26 Operating Plan and Budget are developed based on the ICANN FY26–30 Strategic Plan. The Strategic Initiatives are programs or projects designed to support the achievement of the 28 strategies outlined in the Strategic Plan. Meanwhile, the ongoing Functional Activities provide the necessary processes and mechanisms that permit the community to conduct its work, according to the official website of ICANN.
The FY26 Operating Plan and Budget sets forth the focus of efforts and organizational commitments for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026. These Operating Plan and Budget documents are available:

- Under ICANN's Bylaws, the Empowered Community may consider whether to reject any of the plans adopted by the ICANN Board. If no Empowered Community rejection process is pending, then the adopted plans will go into effect on July 1, 2025. Community participation and engagement in ICANN's planning process is a cornerstone of transparency and accountability to the public. The FY26–30 Operating and Financial Plan and FY26 Operating Plan and Budget were the result of 11 months of collaboration between the ICANN organization and Board, the community, and the Public Technical Identifiers Board. ICANN thanks all community members who participated in this important process and contributed to improving its outcome.
