NEW YORK - Registrations for the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) 2026 Annual Meeting have surpassed 9,000. Registrants include leaders in business, technology, law, government, and academia, and collectively represent 145 jurisdictions, according to the official website of INTA.

“We’re incredibly pleased with the momentum we’re seeing in the registrations over the past few weeks. These numbers underscore the sustained global demand for intellectual property education, policy engagement, and business development at a time of rapid change across the IP landscape,” said INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “It’s also about community, and I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who is signing up to join us for what is building up to be our most memorable Annual Meeting yet.”

“Right now, IP professionals around the world are navigating significant challenges as shifting political priorities, economic volatility, and evolving regional innovation strategies influence global IP frameworks,” said 2026 Annual Meeting Co-Chair Tanya Fickenscher, Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Major League Baseball (USA). “This Annual Meeting—and the incredible educational program we’ve put together—could not be more timely as we come together under one roof to engage in meaningful dialogue, share practical insight, and help shape the future of IP.”

Among the registered corporate organizations are 882 representatives from 507 organizations, including from Amazon.com Inc., Apple Inc., ByteDance, China Telecommunications Corporation, Haier Group, Midea Group, Tencent Holdings Limited, and other globally recognized brands spanning technology, consumer goods, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, and more. They are joined by 199 government representatives.

Several brand owners and in-house teams are also featured in the educational program. Among those already signed up to take the stage in London are representatives from BAE Systems, British American Tobacco, Chanel, Ericsson, Expedia, Fortnum & Mason, HP, Huawei, Johnson & Johnson, Johnston of Elgin, Maersk Meta, Microsoft, Novartis, Qualcomm, Rolls-Royce, Starbucks, Unilever, and Uber, among others.

Unsurprisingly, the largest portion of registrants comes from Europe (35%), followed by North America (26%), the Asia Pacific (22%), Latin America (11%), Africa (3%), and the Middle East (3%).

In terms of the top jurisdictions, the United States leads (2101), followed by the United Kingdom (757), China (597), Germany (507), India (338), France (230), and Canada (229). Switzerland (228), Japan (216), and Brazil (212) round out the top ten.

“The INTA Annual Meeting is recognized as the world’s premier global gathering of IP professionals, and this year’s event reflects the true strength, inclusivity, and reach of our global community,” said 2026 Annual Meeting Co-Chair Lara Kayode, Managing Partner and Founder of O. Kayode & Co. (Nigeria). “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to London next month.”
