Qatar's Minister of Commerce and Industry Visits Several Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities in the SMEs Industrial Area

DOHA - His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, conducted a field visit to a number of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in the SMEs Industrial Area. The visit comes as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to monitor developments in the national industrial sector and review operational activities, as well as the development and expansion plans being implemented by local manufacturers, in support of the growth and competitiveness of national industries, according to the official website of the Ministry.
During the visit, His Excellency reviewed the latest technologies and systems used in production processes, as well as efforts aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving product quality. He also received a briefing on the facilities’ future projects and plans to expand production capacity and promote innovation.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Minister of Commerce and Industry reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continuing its support for the industrial sector as one of the key pillars of economic diversification. This includes developing the industrial ecosystem and providing investment-supportive incentives and facilitative measures, in line with the objectives of the Qatar National Manufacturing Strategy and the Third National Development Strategy.
